1 pack Silver Fern Farms Premium Ground Beef

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 red onions, peeled, sliced into thin rounds

1 Tbsp brown sugar

4 Hamburger buns

5oz Roquefort cheese, sliced

4 large rounds of beefsteak tomato

1.5oz Arugula leaves
-
8 slices of pickle
-
Whole egg mayonnaise

Accompany with fries, ketchup and extra pickles (optional)
General
Method
Step 1
Remove Silver Fern Farms Premium Ground Beef from the packaging. Add a teaspoon of salt and shape into 4 burgers.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan with 1 tablespoon of oil on a low heat. Add sliced onions and season with salt. Fry the onions for 10 minutes until tender. Add brown sugar and continue to stir for 5 minutes until caramelized.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan or BBQ plate to medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook the beef burgers for 3 minutes on one side then turn and cook a further 3-4 minutes. Remove meat from pan and leave to rest covered in foil for 3 minutes.
Step 4
Wipe the pan out and return to the heat. Toast the bun, cut side down until golden. Remove from heat.
Step 5
Start with the bottom bun, spoon on caramelized onion, top with beef burgers, then slices Roquefort cheese, tomato and Arugula leaves. Finish with pickle, mayonnaise and burger bun lid.
Step 6
Accompanied with fries, ketchup and extra pickles.
